Beyond the limit: the unsustainability of a destructive model - Part 3
Abstract: In the first two parts of our essay, we outlined the fundamental paradox of capitalism—its relentless pursuit of growth on a finite planet—and analyzed how war can unexpectedly act as a "reset" mechanism for this system. We examined cycles of destruction and reconstruction, the stimulus from military spending, and technological spin-offs, all while acknowledging the severe inefficiencies and moral costs of "Military Keynesianism." In this third part, we will shift our focus to the inherent and insurmountable limits that the capitalist model is now overtly encountering. We will explore the convergence of demographic, environmental, and resource crises, demonstrating the illusory nature of decoupled growth and reinforcing the urgency for a radical paradigm shift.
